Machine-readable marking is the tool maker’s job

The law, in three lines.

Most people it never touches. Here is when it does.

Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 · Article 50

The tool you used also has to mark its output inside the file. That happens in the background, and it does not cover you.

Nine sources. Ruleset last reviewed 4 August 2026.

Does this cover the whole AI Act?

No. It covers the disclosure duties in Article 50, plus the rules of the platform you post on. It does not cover risk classification or compliance paperwork.

AI only fixed my grammar. Do I still say something?

Not for the Act. Fixing spelling and grammar helps you author your own words, it does not make them synthetic. The Act’s assistive editing wording is written for tool makers rather than for you, so that is not the thing that gets you out of it. Your platform can still ask.

Is my post stored anywhere?

No. The checker runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere. Your answers go into the address bar so a result can be shared or bookmarked, and a reload without that link clears them. No accounts, no cookies, no tracking. The privacy page sets out the one exception, which is the standard server logs any host keeps.

How current are the platform rules?

Platform policy changes far faster than the law, so it is kept in its own file and re-read by hand rather than inherited from the statute. Every result carries the date the ruleset was last reviewed, and so does the line beside these questions.
